# Baby Weird Apes

Baby Weird Ape is the result of [<mark style="color:orange;">**breeding**</mark>](/weird-apes-club/breeding.md) between Genesis Weird Ape and Lady Weird Ape.

Once the breeding is done the user can’t immediately see the Baby, but the breeding process will generate an [<mark style="color:orange;">**incubator**</mark>](/weird-apes-club/2d-nfts/baby-weird-apes/incubator.md).

Baby Weird Apes can be female or male, they will inherit rarity and some traits from parents, there will also be a random mutation that can give the baby brand new traits for a total number of **300+ traits**.

Each Baby Weird Ape is based on **8 attributes and 2 meta-attribute** **whose traits have their own %** **of occurrence** defining **rarity** among the collection.&#x20;

A Baby will either acquire the trait from a parent or, with low probability, will have a mutation.\
On [<mark style="color:orange;">Inheritance</mark>](/weird-apes-club/breeding/inheritance.md) it is possible to see the dynamics and the dependences related to the possibility of mutation of the genetic algorithm. This probability is a function of two factors: the rarity of the parents (especially Lady's rank) and the number of other remaining births of a Lady.

Through  [<mark style="color:orange;">renting</mark> ](/weird-apes-club/renting.md)it will be possible to breed a Baby even if you don't own the parent borrowing them by paying in $WAC so you can select the parents you like best.

A Baby Weird Ape can be **customized** by [<mark style="color:orange;">**changing the name and the bio**</mark>](/weird-apes-club/customization.md).

Every Baby can be **staked** to yield **5** [<mark style="color:orange;">**Blue Vials**</mark>](/weird-apes-club/legends-of-weirdonite/catalyst.md) **per day** in [<mark style="color:orange;">**Legends of Weirdonite**</mark>](/weird-apes-club/legends-of-weirdonite.md).

Babies are mintable exclusively by [<mark style="color:orange;">**breeding**</mark>](/weird-apes-club/breeding.md) **a Genesis and a Lady and by burning 480 $WAC** starting from **03/28/2022** on [<mark style="color:orange;">**our website**</mark>](https://weirdapes.com/). Each Lady can give birth to a maximum of 3 times and there will therefore be **a maximum of 6000 Babies.**
