# Genesis Weird Apes

Genesis Weird Apes is a collection of **2500 NFTs** randomly generated from **124 Traits**, stored on the **Cronos chain.**

Each Genesis Weird Ape is based on **8 attributes and 1 meta-attribute** **whose traits have their own %** **of occurrence** defining **rarity** among the collection.

A Genesis Weird Ape can be [<mark style="color:orange;">**customized**</mark> ](/weird-apes-club/customization.md)by[ <mark style="color:orange;">**changing the name and the bio**</mark>](/weird-apes-club/customization.md).

Each Genesis Weird Ape can be [<mark style="color:orange;">**staked**</mark> ](/weird-apes-club/staking.md)to accumulate **8** [<mark style="color:orange;">**$WAC**</mark>](/weird-apes-club/usdwac.md) **per day**.

A Genesis Weird Ape can [<mark style="color:orange;">**breed**</mark> ](/weird-apes-club/breeding.md)with a Lady Weird Ape by burning 480 $WAC and it will be able to transmit its traits to the Baby Weird Ape. The rarity of a Genesis has a strong influence on the probability that the Baby can present mutations.

A Genesis can make its genetics available to the community through [<mark style="color:orange;">**renting**</mark>](/weird-apes-club/renting.md), following a payment in $WAC. This allows users to customise their Babies, and provide an additional passive income to Genesis owners, in addition to the staking that can be done at the same time as renting.
