Catalysts are a crucial part of Weird Ape's equipment, they will help your Weird Ape or your squad to collect more loot during expeditions.
Catalysts have a limited lifespan, the effect lasts between 10 and 25 expeditions, the more expedition you pay in $WAC, the slower it will be consumed.
A Catalyst lasts for 10 Banana Cola runs or 25 $WAC runs and anything in between.
Catalysts are CRC-1155 NFTs (so they will be transerible and tradable on the secondary market) and can be consumed by a squad (1-5 Voxel Apes) to increase their chance to collect more loot for each expedition until it breaks (can span over seasons).
There are three different types of catalysts, they all have the same duration but increase the chances of collecting more loot in different ways:
Sulfur
20% chance for double Weirdonite 10% chance for double XP
Erbium
40% chance for double Weirdonite 20% chance for double XP
Cobalt
100% chance for double Weirdonite 50% chance for double XP
Catalysts can be generated by spending 70 Vials.
Vials are distributed daily to all Lady Weird Apes and Baby Weird Apes staked.
• Lady Weird Ape yields 5 green vial every day.
• Baby Weird Ape yields 5 blue vial every day.
Once the 70 Vials are collected, Ladies and Babies can redeem it to get a random catalyst.
Redeeming 70 green vial, the Lady has a higher probabilistic advantage of obtaining a rarer catalyst than a Baby.
